Everyone:

With the announcement by Governor Evers that all schools will close as of Wednesday, March 18th; it is with great disappointment that we are forced to cancel the 2020 BRFFSC Ice Show.

We recognize that there are now a lot of questions and we'll try to do our best to address them here:

OPTIONAL MINI-SHOW

Optional skating performance on Sunday, March 15th at 6 PM for all groups, duets, solos, and Senior numbers. This invitation is to allow all ice show skaters to perform (though groups may be a bit rough) like we have a show and showcase our Seniors who have a HUGE curveball thrown at them now. There will be no decorations up; we are trying to make lemonade from the lemons we have. We are asking for three things:

1. Parents/Guardians/Siblings only to watch, please. You are welcome to video any or all of it.

2. Tell us if your skater will NOT be there. Again, the "show" will start at 6 PM, so please arrive at 5:15-5:30 --reply to this email

3. Have a change of clothes so show outfits can be turned in. In the event that you cannot make it, please also make arrangements with us to turn in costumes.

REFUNDS

We will refund all tickets that were sold and prepaid DVD sales.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund pictures and apparel; pictures are ready for you and the apparel is printed, both will be handed out as ordered. Not to make light of a frustrating, disappointing season end we are offering a heat transfer over the top of apparel (only if you want to) that will look like a stamp saying Coronavirus 2020.

SOLOS AND DUETS FOR 2021

Our club policy is that skaters are not eligible to try out for a solo or duet in the same group, the year following. This policy is being waived for 2021 and all skaters will be eligible to tryout for solos or duets in the 2021 ice show.

SHOW JOBS

Noone will have show job obligations.

We appreciate everyone's patience as we worked through a decision we never thought we would have to make. Please be patient with us volunteers as we unwind the tickets and other end of season issues that we didn't think were coming so quickly. If we missed something, please be sure to ask. It has been a whirlwind 24 hours and our heads are spinning too.

Regretfully,

Matt Jorgensen

President, BRFFSC
